Their participation highlights the significance of strengthening bilateral engagement and the growing commercial ties between Greece and Spain. \nThe event\, held at the Hotel Meliá Athens\, reflected not only the strength of the Chamber’s network but also the positive momentum and collaborative spirit that will guide our activities in the year ahead. DESCRIPTION:The Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce\, recently hosted a Business Breakfast with Andreas Nicholas Fiorentinos\, Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT)\, who shared valuable insights on the growing importance of the Spanish outbound tourism market for Greece. \nDuring his keynote presentation\, Mr. Fiorentinos highlighted the strong momentum of Spanish international travel. In the first quarter of 2025 alone\, Spanish residents made nearly 9.9 million trips abroad\, marking a 5.3% increase compared to 2024\, while tourism spending grew by more than 10%. \nEncouragingly for Greece\, the country continues to strengthen its position among Spanish travelers. According to the data presented\, Spain–Greece air passenger traffic has increased by nearly 75% over the past four years\, while Spanish arrivals to Athens alone reached more than 308\,000 in 2025\, reflecting a 34% increase compared to the previous year. \nMr. Fiorentinos also emphasized broader trends shaping the market\, including the growing demand for experiential travel\, cultural tourism\, gastronomy\, and high-quality tailor-made experience\, areas where Greece has a strong competitive advantage. \nThe event brought together Chamber members\, tourism professionals\, business leaders\, fostering a constructive discussion on how to further strengthen tourism cooperation between Greece and Spain and leverage the significant opportunities this market presents. \nThe Chamber warmly thanks Mr. Fiorentinos for his insightful presentation and all participants who joined us for this engaging discussion. \n

DESCRIPTION:Within the framework of the ILIS Program for Spaniards\, funded by the Ministry of Labor\, Migration\, and Social Security\, the Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce organized a cultural visit to the Sorolla exhibition at the Cervantes Institute in Athens\, as part of its activities aimed at promoting knowledge and dissemination of Spanish culture. \n– \nEn el marco del Programa ILIS para españoles\, financiado por el Ministerio de Trabajo\, Migraciones y Seguridad Social\, la Cámara de Comercio Hispano Helena organizó una visita cultural al Instituto Cervantes de Atenas\, como parte de sus actividades destinadas a promover el conocimiento y la difusión de la cultura española. \nDurante la jornada\, los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de recorrer las instalaciones del Instituto y conocer la exposición dedicada a Joaquín Sorolla\, que ofrecía reproducciones de la obra “Luz\, mar y jardines” y material informativo sobre la vida y obra del reconocido pintor valenciano. Los participantes pudieron disfrutar de una visita guiada donde se explicó la importancia de la luminosidad y el color característicos de su estilo\, así como reflexionar sobre la influencia de la luz mediterránea en su pintura. \nEsta actividad contribuyó a fomentar el interés por el patrimonio artístico español y a fortalecer los lazos culturales entre España y Grecia\, generando además un espacio de diálogo e intercambio.

DESCRIPTION:The Spanish Labour\, Migration and Social Security Counsellor’s Office \, together with Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce\, the Association Hispano Helena and the Instituto Cervantes organized an event on June 25 regading the presentation of the Inclusion and Support Program for Spaniards Residing in Greece\, held at the Instituto Cervantes in Athens. \nThe event featured the participation of the Ambassador of Spain Domecq Fernández de Bobadilla\, representatives from the Ministry of Inclusion\, Social Security and Migration of Spain\, including Subsecretary of Inclusion\, Social Security and Migration\, Cristina Asacia Navarro Enterría\, Director General for Spanish Citizens Abroad and Return Policies\, Elena Bernardo Llorente; Labour and Social Security Counsellor\, Javier Aibar Bernard; Technical Advisor\,   Ludia Vasilalakis\, and Counselor of the Spanish Embassy Elena Pérez-Villanueva del Caz. \nThe event was structured in three sessions: an initial meeting with the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Association Hispano Helena to better understand the needs and priorities of the Spanish community in Greece; a roundtable with companies that are members of the Chamber and actively supporting the project; and finally\, a public presentation of the program for the broader Spanish community residing in Greece. \nThe sessions provided valuable insights into the initiatives and support mechanisms available to the Spanish community abroad\, highlighting the importance of institutional backing and the strengthening of ties with the diaspora. \nWe sincerely thank the organizers and participants for their commitment to the well-being and inclusion of Spanish citizens in Greece. \nThank you very much to the Instituto Cervantes that kindly hosted the event. \n\n
