Round Table with Deputy Minister of Development Zoe Raptis 12/11/2024

The Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce held a Business Breakfast aimed at strengthening business ties between Greece and Spain.

With Deputy Minister of Development Zoe Rapti as the guest speaker, the event focused on research, innovation, and new avenues for cooperation between the two countries. Attendees included representatives of Spanish companies which operate in both markets, in sectors such as fisheries, energy, financial services, and hospitality. They engaged in a constructive dialogue with the Deputy Minister, discussing critical issues and exploring strategic opportunities.

The Deputy Minister presented key policies within her portfolio, covering areas such as the new tax legislation designed to support innovation, Greece’s unique advantages for international collaboration, and initiatives that bring research closer to market needs. Additionally, significant emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation in sustainable development, enhancing the value of cross-border partnerships.

As part of the event and to strengthen ties between Greece and Spain, groundwork was laid for designing a joint action platform centered on key economic sectors, with a particular focus on research and innovation. This platform will harness the potential for collaboration between Spanish and Greek research centers and universities, promoting the results in the market to create new innovative products and strengthen a robust network for shared progress.
