Ecoener S.A. was founded 37 years ago in La Coruna, inspired by the vision of its president and founder Luis de Valdivia. Today, Ecoener operates in 13 countries worldwide and since 2021 is trading in the 4 Spanish stock exchanges. Ecoener Hellas, 100% subsidiary of Ecoener S.A., was established on March 6, 2023. In its 3 years of presence in the country, has already created a project pipeline with a total capacity of approximately 480 MW, which is under development and consists of wind and photovoltaic projects with storage and storage projects stand alone. Ecoener Hellas’s goal is to contribute to the global vision of Ecoener, placing particular importance on its interaction with local communities in the wider project development area, from the early stages of licensing and development.
Chryssa Giannopoulou, Greece Country Manager
Chryssa Giannopoulou is an Electrical Engineer, a graduate of the University of Patras and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium). With more than 19 years of experience in the energy sector, she is a seasoned executive, with extensive international experience across Europe, Africa, and the US, spanning roles in project engineering, M&A, business development, and sustainability. She currently serves as Country Manager of Ecoener Hellas, following several senior roles in multinational organisations such as Enel Green Power and Gamesa. She has driven highimpact initiatives with significant social value both through her leadership roles and through personal commitment to socially responsible actions. She is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
