Cultural event Spanish Lyricism 24/02/2025

The Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce is proud to have placed the “ΙΣΠΑΝΙΚΟΣ ΛΥΡΙΣΜΟΣ” (Spanish Lyricism) concert under our auspices on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., at the Museum of the City of Athens.

The extraordinary evening featured a gifted ensemble of young lyrical artists—graduates of the Nikolaos Mantzaros Conservatory and students of Greek National Opera soprano Maria Marketou—delighting the audience with beloved Spanish classics such as “Granada,” “En Aranjuez con tu Amor,” “Hijo de la Luna,” as well as enchanting Zarzuelas and works by Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, and Federico García Lorca. The performers—Maira Georgarou, Rea Voudouri, Efi Dimitrellou, Nikitas Gritzalis, Spyros Sokos, and Giorgos Keramidaris—were accompanied by the pianist and principal at the Greek National Opera, Frixos Mortzos.

The event was hosted with the support of the Museum’s President, Mr. Antonios Vogiatzis, in collaboration with the Conservatory’s Director, Ms. Youli Ventoura, and the support of the Hellenic Spanish Association.

The concert brought Greek and Spanish communities closer together, showcasing the unifying power of music and fostering cultural exchange.
